Student Prize

We are happy to announce that Student Prizes, that were for the first time awarded at the IFSA2013 conference in Nara, will be granted again during the conference to encourage and promote young talented students in subjects covered by IFSA.


To be eligible, a participant shall (i) be a student at the time of the conference, (ii) be duly registered to the conference and (ii) be the first author on the abstract he/she will actually present as a poster.

To enter, students should simply send an e-mail to the
by September 1, 2017, with ‘IFSA Poster Prize’ in the subject line and include their name, their home university and the relevant poster number.

The posters will be judged by a committee established by the Technical Program Co-chairs according to well-defined criteria: (i) quality of the work, (ii) originality and (iii) presentation skills.

The prize will be awarded in each of the three major IFSA categories: (I) physics of inertial fusion, (II) technologies and (III) High energy density physics & applications. Each winner will receive 100€ and a certificate. Prizes will be announced and presented at the closing ceremony.
